Since forming in Albany, California in 1991, Rancid has been a leader in bringing punk rock back to mainstream interest. They hit it big in 1995 with the release of their second album through a major label ...And Out Come the Wolves which produced singles such as "Time Bomb" and "Ruby Soho". In subsequent years, they would release a pair of mostly unsuccessful albums which included experimentation in mixing the signature punk rock sound with elements of roots reggae, rockabilly, dub, hip-hop, and funk a la The Clash as well a song that was featured on the South Park: Chef Aid album, which was produced by Rancid lead singer, Tim Armstrong, before going on Hiatus. They returned in 2003 with Indestructible which spawned "Fell Back Down".
